Our multi day expedition will test your endurance and give you a life time experience
In March 2010 Nalubale Rafting’s Reuben Connolly and Thomas Leth Madsen led the first commercial rafting expedition from the Owen Falls Dam in Jinja to Karuma Falls on the edge of Murchison Falls National Park - a distance of more than 300 kilometers.
The 8 day journey saw the expedition members paddle and row through challenging grade 5 white water, across the immense Lake Kyoga and into vast papyrus swamps. The days were filled with rafting, fishing, rowing, amazing sceneries, bush camping and bon fires. It was a tired, but very happy crew that made it back to Kampala. The documentary from the trip is now available on YouTube. Click here to see part I and part II.
General Manager Will Clark and his crew at Nalubale Rafting is planning a second expedition to Karuma which will set off from Jinja on 26th September, 2012. Seats are available for adventurous persons looking for an incredible outdoor experience combined with a physical challenge. This trip is the real deal. Expect few luxuries and hard work.
